Why should the Villanova community support VUBA now?
The purpose, and hope, of this fundraising campaign is to generate enough annual recurring funding to secure the cost of implementing VUBA’s baseline annual calendar of events and initiatives. Our baseline calendar consists of the following:
- Family Weekend programming
- Homecoming programming
- Three professional development and/or networking programs
- MLK Day of Service
- Signature events, including the Moulden Honors Awards Ceremony and Mental Health & Wellness Fair
- Reunion Weekend programming
- Juneteenth Day of Service
Securing funding for these baseline events and initiatives will free up VUBA’s leadership to focus more on engaging with students and alumni; delivering high quality events, interactions and programs; attracting talented alumni to volunteer or serve in leadership roles; and last but not least, to plan for the future.
What impact will support for VUBA have on Villanova students and alumni?
When you think about what is possible, and then take steps toward those goals, you will find more is possible than you ever could have dreamed. This is the origin story and journey of VUBA. By fostering greater interactions between alumni and students, creating positive communal engagement opportunities and memories, and promoting the sharing of our time, treasure and talent in support of our students and in fellowship and purpose with our alumni peers, VUBA is helping to positively shape and enhance the experience and value of what it means to be a Black student at, and Black alum of, Villanova University.
Now that you know what is possible, think about how much VUBA could achieve to realize our full potential with your financial support.
